From a Single Oven
to a Community Icon

It all started in 2005 when founder Marco Rivera fired up his first oven at 2225 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC. Marco had one goal: to serve pizza inn–quality pies with a genuine homemade soul — hand-stretched dough, slow-cooked sauce, and locally sourced toppings.

Word spread fast. Neighbors became regulars, and regulars became family. By 2010, Pizza inn had expanded its kitchen, its team, and its mission: to make every meal a reason to gather. Today, we serve tens of thousands of satisfied customers across the United States, delivering bold flavor with every order.

The First Oven Lights Up

Marco Rivera opens the original Pizza inn at 2225 E Main St, Spartanburg with a single stone oven, a handful of recipes, and an unshakeable belief in bold, fresh flavor. The community immediately takes notice.

2008 — Growing Fast

Kitchen Expansion & New Menu

Driven by overwhelming demand, we double our kitchen capacity and introduce our now-legendary pasta line, garlic knots, and the iconic BBQ Chicken Pizza. Our staff grows from 4 to 18 passionate team members.

2011 — Community Award

Best Pizza in Spartanburg

Pizza inn wins its first "Best Restaurant" award from the Spartanburg Community Choice Awards. We launch our catering service this year, bringing our flavors to weddings, corporate events, and local celebrations.
